Jerusalem and Bethlehem Highlights (Upon Request)

Day 1: Tel Aviv

Upon arrival at the Arava Border, our representative will meet you after you complete customs formalities.

Drive to Jerusalem for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Jerusalem

We will begin our tour at the Mount of Olives for a spectacular panoramic view of the Old City. Walk down to the Kidron Valley and visit the Chapel of Dominus Flevit. Thereafter, we will visit the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations, also known as the Basilica of the Agony.

In this area stand some of the oldest olive trees in the Holy Land, dating back to ancient times. They are living witnesses to Jesus’ arrest.

We will continue along the Kidron Valley, viewing the Tomb of Zechariah and the Tomb of Absalom, King David’s son. We will enter the Old City through one of its ancient gates and proceed to the Western Wall, the remnant of the Temple, where we may touch its ancient stones.

We will ascend the Temple Mount and view the Dome of the Rock. We will continue through the Western Wall Tunnels and note the location of the Holy of Holies.

After visiting the nearby Pools of Bethesda, we will continue along the Via Dolorosa and through the Arab Market (the Shuk). We will then proceed to the Jewish Quarter, where we will see the renovated Cardo, the ancient north-south colonnaded Roman street, and its excavations.

Continue to the Tower of David Museum, where we can experience a journey through 3,000 years of Jerusalem’s history.

Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Jerusalem

Drive to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity.

Continue to Ein Karem, the village of St. John the Baptist.

Visit the Israel Museum and the Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are displayed.

Visit Mount Zion, the Upper Room, and King David’s Tomb.

Continue to New Jerusalem to visit Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Memorial.

Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
