This Tour Departs Every Thursday
Day 1: Thursday – Tel Aviv
The beginning of your journey in the Holy Land.
Upon arrival, you will meet our representative and be transferred to your hotel in Tel Aviv for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Friday – Tel Aviv / Sea of Galilee / Tiberias
Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel.
Drive to the ancient port city of Jaffa (Joppa), where you will enjoy a short walking tour through the picturesque alleys of the old fortified town. Pass by the House of Simon the Tanner and admire the panoramic views from the hilltop.
Continue north along the Mediterranean coast to the archaeological ruins of Caesarea, built by King Herod in honor of Augustus Caesar.
Proceed to Megiddo, where the Book of Revelation refers to the great battle of Armageddon. This ancient city was inhabited continuously for more than five millennia (6000–500 B.C.).
After exploring the ruins, continue to the Sea of Galilee.
Arrive in Tiberias and check into your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Saturday – Sea of Galilee
Begin the day in historic Tiberias, where Jesus lived, preached, and ministered along the shores of the Sea of Galilee.
Continue to Capernaum, the center of Jesus’ ministry.
Proceed to Tabgha, the site of the miracle of the loaves and fishes, where the Church of the Multiplication features a famous mosaic depicting a basket with loaves and two fish.
Visit the Mount of Beatitudes, overlooking the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount and is believed to have chosen His twelve apostles.
Ascend to the Golan Heights for panoramic views of Mount Hermon, the rugged plateau of the Golan, and the lush Hula Valley below.
Return to Tiberias for another overnight stay.
Day 4: Sunday – Sea of Galilee / Jordan River / Jerusalem
This morning, travel to Cana to visit the Wedding Church, where Jesus performed His first miracle by turning water into wine.
Continue to Nazareth, where Jesus spent His childhood, and visit the Church of the Annunciation, built on the site where the Archangel Gabriel is believed to have appeared to the Virgin Mary. You will also see Mary’s Well and St. Joseph’s Church.
Drive through the Jordan Valley to Beit She’an, home to a recently excavated amphitheater and one of the most beautifully preserved Roman cities in the region.
Continue to Jerusalem and check into your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 5: Monday – Masada & Dead Sea
On the way to the Dead Sea, visit Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered.
Travel through the dramatic landscape of the Judean Desert to Masada, situated atop an isolated cliff overlooking the Dead Sea. The site was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001.
Ascend by cable car to the fortress, the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots in their war against the Romans.
Visit the excavations, King Herod’s palace, the synagogue, the bathhouse, and other fascinating remains.
Enjoy breathtaking views of the Roman camps and the Dead Sea.
At nearly 1,300 feet below sea level, the Dead Sea is the lowest point on Earth’s surface. Bring your swimsuit, as weather permitting, you may enjoy floating in its salty, mineral-rich waters.
Return to Jerusalem for an overnight stay.
Day 6: Tuesday – Jerusalem
Begin the day at Mount Scopus and enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of Jerusalem, a city sacred to Christianity, Judaism, and Islam.
Visit the Mount of Olives, the site where Jesus taught the Lord’s Prayer, and the Garden of Gethsemane, where Judas betrayed Him.
In the Old City, see the Western Wall and the Temple Mount, the site of the Second Temple.
Walk along the Via Dolorosa to Calvary and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, which houses the traditional sites of the Crucifixion and the Resurrection.
Continue to Mount Zion to visit the traditional Tomb of King David and the Room of the Last Supper.
Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 7: Wednesday – Jerusalem
Today’s tour includes Yad Vashem, the official memorial to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust, established in 1953 and located at the foot of Mount Herzl.
Continue to Ein Karem, a picturesque village on the southwestern outskirts of Jerusalem and, according to Christian tradition, the birthplace of John the Baptist.
Visit the Israel Museum, featuring a detailed model of Jerusalem from the Second Temple period and the Shrine of the Book, which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls.
Drive past the Knesset (Israel’s Parliament) and the campus of the Hebrew University.
Continue to Bethlehem to visit Rachel’s Tomb and the Church of the Nativity.*
Return to your hotel in Jerusalem for an overnight stay.
Day 8: Thursday – Departure from Jerusalem
Today marks the end of your tour.
Transfer to the airport for your flight home, or extend your journey to the Kingdom of Jordan and/or Egypt.
Site under the jurisdiction of the Palestinian Authority. Visits are subject to the current situation.
