Pick-up from Eilat's airport (around 07:30 AM) and transfer to the Arava Border Crossing (Rabin border terminal) to meet our representative for assistance with passport procedure and visa. On completion of all border-formalities you will meet your guide for the day. Together you drive via the Jordanian "Desert Highway" before reaching the Kings highway to take you onward to Petra. You’ll disembark from your vehicle to start your exploration by foot to the "Rose Red City" - Petra. Starting at the visitors centre before walking through the famous "Siq" - a narrow natural gorge which created the secret entrance into Petra. Your guide will show you the points of interest along the Siq as he unveils the history behind the ruins. Then suddenly the valley of Petra will open in front of you, revealing the famous "Khazane" ("Treasury").

You then continue further into the site to visit the most famous monuments, carved in the red Sandstone including the amphitheatre, the tombs and facades and the colonnaded street. You will then have free time to absorb, wander and enjoy Petra further. Return back up through the Siq in your own time to meet up with the guide at a designated time and place to eat lunch (included) in a nearby location. After lunch the depart Petra for Arava border including a short city-tour in Aqaba (time permitting)

Farewell to Jordan, and welcome back to Israel to be met by our representive and transfer back to Eilat Airport.
